When you are suffering from gum disease, you may find it uncomfortable to floss or even brush your teeth due to bleeding gums. The best way to combat gingivitis is to keep your mouth clean. Continue to brush your teeth twice a day and floss at least once a day. If flossing is too painful, then you can turn to oral irrigation to help removal food particles from between your teeth and gums. Drink water after you eat anything.
